BIO

Ebony Buckle is London-based conceptual pop artist, originally from Townsville, Australia. She writes and performs with her husband - musician and producer Nick Burns. With her music Ebony holds a mirror to herself and the world, reflecting the human want and struggle to fit in or break out.

Ebony’s debut album Disco Lasers came out in 2021, receiving critical acclaim from the likes of Earmilk and Atwood Magazine, who challenged their readers: “I defy you to name another album as colourful and imaginative as Ebony Buckle’s Disco Lasers'. The album is a collection of audio-visual stories inspired by folk tales and the crossroads between fiction and science, told through Buckle’s soaring vocals & imaginative songwriting.

Her upcoming album Hearts Get Started, will provide an insight into Buckle’s musical exploration of pop, rock and ambient pop over the past 4 years, described by some of her patrons who’ve heard the demos as the prequel to Disco Lasers.

Ebony’s unique voice was first recognised in the BBC’s drama Inspector George Gently, where she performed a version of Silver Dagger which reached number 1 in the iTunes World Music Charts.

Performing her original music across the UK, Europe & Australia, Ebony has been sharing the stage with legendary acts like Solstice, Focus and Ren Harvieu.
